On the 19th of October another Teaser was held at the Columba Hotel by Allan Simpson of the Results Academy and Melanie Newdick of Your Event Expert. The subject was "How To Get the Maximum Benefit From Attending a Tradeshow". The discussion started as to whether even attending a tradeshow was the right thing to do and how people assessed this before committing that all important money. Allan then led a discussion about some marketing strategies specifically for events and how to make the most of the unique environment that events provide. There was discussion as to whether events would decline as the interent and social media grew but statistics show the opposite is happening infact.
Melanie highlighted the often overlooked aspect of any trade stand - the people manning it and there was a discussion around the different skills needed on a stand - maybe a sales person is not necessarily the right choice for example.
The discussion continued over lunch and finished at 2pm after some more questions and answers. As with any Fusion group the attendees were mixed and a very interesting and interested bunch.
More Teaser events are following on the 1st of November in Dingwall at TEFL Scotland and on the 2nd of November in Thurso with Training at Naver and there is a Staff Canteen for the Self Employed on the 3rd of November.
