Women in Business at 4Networking Inverness

Today, 24th January 2012, Fusion attended a 4Networking breakfast in Inverness with some members of it's Women in Business group. It was great to see a full house in the Burns Room of the Kingsmills Hotel and to be advised by Paula from the hotel team that Robert Burns did infact dine in that room previously and the letter about this occasion is behind reception for anyone interested.

There was a great variety of businesses around the table and it was great to hear that people were positive and upbeat about their business prospects for 2012 with most people as busy if not busier than ever before. This continues to back up the positive message that Alex Paterson from HIE gave recently that there are opportunities around and that businesses in the Highlands have a tradition of being flexible which makes them ideally placed to benefit from them accordingly.

The speaker session at the breakfast was about active listening giving us some useful tips on how to do this properly and benefit as a result making us better negotiators for a start.

The Kingsmills Hotel looks set to be home for plenty of Fusion events in 2012 with the Staff Canteen for the Self Employed now relocating there from Inverness city centre also.

Conference bookings are about to go live on the website and you can find details, along with other events here.
